1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of National VIN Check (https://nationalvincheck.com.au) and any related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by National VIN Check (ABN 85 873 692 381, Brisbane QLD, Australia) ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

National VIN Check provides Australian vehicle history reports sourced from the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR), the National Exchange of Vehicle and Driver Information System (NEVDIS), and other authorised data suppliers. Reports cover finance encumbrances, written-off vehicle history, stolen status, registration, market valuation, and reliability data depending on the tier purchased.

Reports are provided for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee the completeness or currency of all data, as records depend on the accuracy and timeliness of the underlying government and third-party registers.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Australia to purchase a report. By using the Service you represent that these requirements are met.

4. Payments, Pricing & Refunds

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) exclusive of GST. A 10% GST component is added at checkout, and your total payable amount (including GST) is shown before you pay. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Reports are delivered immediately upon successful payment. A GST-inclusive tax invoice is available on request.

Because reports are generated and delivered instantly from live government registers, purchases are generally non-refundable once the report has been generated and delivered. However, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) are not excluded. Remedies (including refunds or re-delivery) are available in cases of non-delivery, wrong vehicle due to a system error, major service failure, or duplicate charges.

5. Permitted Use

You may use reports solely for your own personal or business decision-making. You must not:

  • Resell, redistribute, or republish report data without written permission;
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service;
  • Use automated tools to make bulk lookups without prior written agreement.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, National VIN Check is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on report information, including any vehicle purchase decision made on the basis of a report. Reports reflect the state of the underlying registers at the time of query and may not capture all historical events.

Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount paid for the specific report that gave rise to the claim.

7. Consumer Guarantees

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), including the consumer guarantees applicable to our services.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including the National VIN Check name, logo, report format, and website design — is owned by us and protected by Australian copyright law. You may not copy or use our branding without prior written consent.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Queensland.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will always display the date of the most recent update at the top of this page.
